Employee Volunteering

Volunteering is in our DNA.

Volunteering is in our DNA. In fact, Vail Resorts’ employees volunteer more than 20,000 hours each year with nonprofit organizations in their local communities. Learn how to give back locally or consider getting involved in one of our signature programs.

EpicPromise Day

EpicPromise Day is Vail Resort’s company-wide volunteer day. Each year, more than 1,600 of our employees, friends and family members band together on one day to complete volunteer projects in our resort communities across the country.

EpicVolunteers

EpicVolunteers was created out of our employees' desire for more enriching, in-depth "Experiences of a Lifetime." The program Vail Resorts employees to have a week off - 40 hours - to volunteer with the charity of their choice, all while getting paid. So far, we've sent 68 EpicVolunteers to a variety of service projects, from Nepal to Honduras, Mexico to Peru, Borneo to Nicaragua - and dozens of projects in our own back yards. Check out the where they spent their 40 hours in the new EpicVolunteers blog.

Individual & Team Volunteer Opportunities

We encourage all Vail Resorts employees to give back and urge departments to complete volunteer activities together as team building exercises. Whether helping to stock a local food bank, reading to a student or building a new trail, many of our community partners would love to have employees out for a half or full day project. Contact Anna Schumann for help in finding an opportunity for you or your team.

Has your team recently volunteered in the community? If so, please fill out this brief intake survey. Your input helps the EpicPromise Department keep track of department volunteering and logistics.

In the meanwhile, check out Northstar and Heavenly's recent team volunteer days.
